Full-time personnel work a scheduled
shift and also respond to emergencies when off-duty. All are
Firefighter/Paramedics.
Part-time personnel respond to emergency calls and work fill-in shifts
to augment, and sometimes replace, the full-time person who is on vacation
or sick. Some are Firefighter/Paramedics and some are FF/EMT-Basic.
Contractual employees work their main job at another department and
sign up to work at Station 2 in between shifts. They are all
Firefighter/Paramedics.
In 2008, we ran over 1400 fire and EMS calls.
